I’ve done Rolling Thunder and was one of a few sport bikes. Amazing event and glad I was able to experience it.
yeah I understand that, it's kind of like the whole Harley/sportsbike thing is a motorcycle form of 'racism', but for me, a real sportsbike nut, I just can not stand the Harley owners arrogance, I'm generalizing here but it seems that everytime I've waved to an oncoming Harley guy they never wave back . . . I used to think it was because they were afraid of losing control of the behemoth if they took a hand off the bars lmao, but then I came to realise it's really because they see a jap bike and it's not in 'the Club' so to speak.
Anyway, enough of that, have a funtastic time at the event!!

Lol…

I did one charity ride where the majority were Harley bikes. Never, ever again. They all seem to chug along in 2nd or 3rd and I’m constantly on and off the throttle and/or brake. And don’t get me started about having to go back to first at a bend because they all sloooow down so they don’t drag their shiny pegs..

Hi. That is cool I have never had a chance to do the run to the wall. I an not sure if I want to. It may bring back to much for me. So for the HD's they have there place. In the last 15 days I have had 2 girls say to me when are you going to take me for a ride? This the first one. I am going on a ride this Sunday with the 2nd one.

Around my way it’s a majority Harley’s that don’t wave so I don’t even bother waving. At least in the US, I’ve heard people get Harley’s because they’re American made and nothing is better than an American product. But honestly you get more for your money with a Japanese cruiser.

There's a big group of Harley owners here in NZ that think exactly that way too. . they usually always have american built cars of Australian built Fords and GM (Holden brand). It's like an exclusive club . . . and it costs mega-bucks to join by the time you've bought the bike and all the BS that goes along with fitting in to the image.
They seem to enjoy themselves so good luck to them I say!
