Yep, finally rode with a bike that got more attention than my Busa.

The Triumph Rocket 3 is a BEAST!! THE ENGINE IS HUGE!!!

We rode about 400 miles over hwy 20 to Twisp WA and back, took a few new roads going up...it was fun.
The 12R rider was as good as I am if not better so we had a blast tearing up the twisties together.
At one point I was doing about 9500rpms in 5th when guess who comes whipping by...yep the 12R aint no slouch I can tell you that first hand. We will ride again!

The ride was awesome up until I got about 2 blocks from home , it was rainging and when getting ready to make a left hand turn the car coming the opposite direction decided to give it some gas.
Oh well, the slider did its job , the rs lower took some some scratchs and the pipe took a small dent. I pulled it off , shined up up and re-adjusted it and its not really that bad
so I will likely use it until I find a good deal on a new one.

Be sure and check out the Triumph guy's camera!! I forget what it was but this dood makes a Hayabusa owner feel modest with his big ass camera and bike.

Oh and I just dropped off my fairing to be repaired...(I have connections man!.

I hope it comes out nice, I will post pics.

Yeah BV that was a fun ride until the last 5 min. when the rain hit.
I was sure surprised on how much attn. the Rockett III got!
Sorry to about your fall, as long as you are ok the bike can be fixed.

Dam buddy! At least your bike didn't get the rash that mine did!

Glad you are OK. Should be an easy fixer...

Dam wet roads!

The sliders did their job...if anyone doubts sliders , especially Lightning brand sliders then look at my lowside...it was about 10mph.

The guy is charging me $125 to fill in and paint both areas, about 3-4hrs worth of work since he is matching the color by eye.

It got more attention than the Busa? Ish... not sure I'd give that triple a second glance! Nice red & black though!

Mike, it was great riding with you as well ,....I hope you can make it on our ride to Eastern WA in Sept.

You will fit right in.

I'm pretty much open the month of Sept. except for the 16th-19th, scheduled to work in Oregon that weekend.   But they might change dates.

BV, sorry to hear about your misfortune! The ride pic's look great, makes me want to shut this computer off and leave work for a ride....... Only we don't have scenery like that here.

I dig the dual headlights on the Triumph. Not too crazy about the huge chrome cover on the left side of the engine though.

Glad to hear you had a good ride and the damage isn't too bad. I'm going to have to invest in some frame sliders of my own really soon. To put things in perspective, the same little 10 mph skid ran did $2,800 in damage to my bike which didn't have frame sliders.

Nice pics! Sounds like ya had a great time.

I second KS...kinda jealous, no scenery or roads out here!

$2800 ? Wow, what all got damaged? These pics dont show the extent of the fairing damage, its almost worn thru and
that one , the upper scrape actually did catch the nose just by a hair but I can buff that out good enough.
Hopfully it will be ready today.

I wont have anything but Lightning sliders on my bike either so I am trying to scare up a pair asap....anyone here know someone who has them in stock?

The scenary looks beautiful. Very nice. Looks like all the beautiful windy roads and scenary are out west.
