What an awesome day!

Here're some pix from the day...and a couple of short videos for your enjoyment.

Then, our first regroup point...Japatul Valley at I-8...

Then, at the foot of Sunrise Highway...one of my favorite stretches of asphalt.

There's still remnants of snow in the higher elevations, but it was absolutely gorgeous up there...

After skirting Julian (no pie, sorry), we headed down Banner Grade where I shot a video of some of my friends enjoying the new asphalt...

After doing Banner, we used the spectacularly technical "Wynola Road" to get to Santa Ysabel for lunch... Here are a few pix of our bikes in the parking lot...

After lunch, we went took Mesa Grande over to the East Grade of Palomar Mountain (Fast Side) and went up to Mother's Kitchen... After a little break, we went down the South Grade (Tight Side) and had fun going up and down the mountain a couple of times. I stopped to talk to Rick Clemson (fabled photographer) about Stampede stuff (he's our official event photographer), and we headed West on the 76 toward Pala Casino. I took a few pix at our final rest point before the last set of twisties before heading home on the Super Slab, I-15.

We were whooped. Tons of twisties...fast and hard we rode. It was a great day!

Nice shots! Nice day up here too. Kinda cool and some corners were damp and shady but otherwise, a nice ride. Going to assemble my new m/c lift before the game tomorrowlease: so no riding till next weekend for me.
