Hello Org!
Been a while since I posted a thread and I am having a hard time navigating in the new format.
I just wanted to share something I did last weekend that was very special in honor of the 10th anniversary of 9-11.
It is called “Ride to the Flags†and is an annual ride that started 4 yrs ago. It is to honor those that were lost in the tragic event of 9-11-01. This year was my first time and I will be making this a yearly gig. Anyone that finds themselves in the area next year, I strongly urge you to attend! You will be amazed at the camaraderie and kindness that is prevalent in this venue.
This ride starts at Pt Mugu AFB and ends at a gathering at Pepperdine University where 2977 flags are placed on the lawn, each representing the lives lost that day. It is a very surreal feeling to be amongst all those flags.
There were somewhere in the neighborhood of 1000 bikes at this tribute and all were great people! I was honored to ride with some of the top dogs of the Patriot guard and they were stellar examples of what this country is really about!
To note, that of all those Bikes, guess how many Busas were there, JUST 1! Me!.
I wish I could load all 158 pics I took of this event, but these are the ones I would like to share with you.
Thank you and Ride safe!
Bubba
