anybody have or ever had a pair they liked. i never wear leather pants. mainly because it is way to hot in fl and i am way to big. anyway i have seen some different jeans that are reinforced and i am looking to buy a pair or 2. are they any better than just regular old levis? hopefully i will never have to find out, but i know if i ride it long enough, its gonna happen. any info on fit, movement, durability would be appreciated.

I have some Icon Recons, but haven't wore them in while. They are ok. I got a pair of fieldsheer denier pants are they are good when it is cooler, but they are bulky. SO I recently purchased a set of knee guards from AlpineStars to wear under regular Levis if I am going to be taking it easy.

On the hottest of days I wear a pair similar to these under my jeans. Hard shell over the shin and knee with padding underneath. Can be used over or under and are velcro adjustable. Even reinforced jeans/pants only help with road rash. What is needed in a get off is ARMOR. Ask anyone that's gotten off unexpectedly. Just like when you fell down as a kid, your palms, knees, elbows and shoulders take the initial hit. I had a pretty slow low side some years back wearing heavy duty leather, but no armor. Had three knee surgeries and a skin graft from my thigh over the knee and I'll be stuck with a 'bad' knee forever. If I only had some armor when I needed it.

i wear the Icon Recon pants also and really like them although if i am going to be riding hard, i wear leather pants over them...they are cut to be very comfortable when riding and are fairly good when off the bike...they run true to size and the ventilation works pretty well...i've never gone down with just them on so someone else will have to vouch for how well they hold up in a crash

I have always worn the Draggin Jeans with a set of slip on hip and knee armor underneath.

I had on a pair of Draggin Jeans when I had my low side last year. Worked pretty good as I only had this one little spot on my knee.

I wear the draggin jeans when I'm not in the mood to wear leathers. They do get warm since the kevlar doesn't breathe too well. Very comfortable and true to size.

What size waist you wear? I have a pair of Cortech DSX's with CE armour in the knees as well as leather reinforced in the seat and knees. They are 40's and are big on me. They are perfect worn 5 or 6 times. They seem to run large not small like I was lead to believe. I think they would fit a 42 waist easy. PM if interested.

i wear a 38" waist but i like them a bit more roomy in the thigh area.i can't stand pants that are like a cheap hotel...( no Ballroom:laugh:). those would probably be a bit to big, but i appreciate the offer. i like the look of the draggin jeans , and the sliders. i might give them a try. thanks for all the suggestions everyone.

+1 on Dragin Jeans...I wear long basketball shorts under them because the Kevlar lining in the butt gets uncomfortable otherwise.
