They have those mesh pants in my size at the waist, but I have short legs. Could those be altered? I love the look.

I have a pair of the TiMax pants & I think it would be hard to shorten the length. They have a zipper & snap on the bottom that would be in the way. The thing I don't like about them so far is the knee/shin pads float around & drop below my knee when walking around. Anyone figure out a way to keep them in the correct location?

Icon's run a little tight in the waist, but then it could have something to do with MY expanding waistline. Buy em a little big, more room for the "wedding tackle"....you know, baby....the twig and berries, big jim and the twins.....

Heavy duty pants designed for tree climbing. Sounds like ideal wear for casual trips on the bike, yes? No substitute for specialized protective gear of course, but a lot better than regular jeans. Their purposeful construction for tree climbing also applies well to riding, as you can throw your leg over and settle in, enjoying the gusseted crotch and resultant freedom of movement. Made of strong, pre-washed 12 oz. canvas and featuring a double-layered panel from the knee to mid-thigh, with velcro closed access for kneepads, these exceptionally well-made pants are both comfortable and durable. (Arborwear hard shell TF2â„¢ Pad System is not integrated with the Roadcrafter or Darien Pads.) Black or chesnut. Specify color. 28-30, 28-32, 30-30, 30-32, 32-30, 32-32, 34-30, 34-32, 34-34, 36-30, 36-32, 36-34, 38-30, 38-32, 38-34, 40-30, 40-32, 40-34.

For comfort while riding but you will have to add you own protection.

I dont know if they still do it,and I cant recomend them as I have never purchased from them but:

You could mail them your favourite jeans and they would line the heck outa them with kelar.
Supposedly they were very tuff and comfy, being as they were your favourite jeans.

Oppz, here are the knee guards I'll be getting, and it lQQks like one size fits all .   They also look very similar to the ICON knee guard but at a cheaper price tag.

RockGardn LZMX Knee/Shin Guards are our dirt bike and ATV specific version of the Landing Zone. They can be worn with traditional MX pants, but were purpose-made for use with MX shorts, such as RockGardn Summit Shorts, or over-the-boot pants with zip-off legs.

Non-marring, soft durometer TPR allows you to grip the tank with your knees when worn with MX shorts.
Raised, reinforced spine on shin plate allows airflow into boots.
Set-and-forget calf strap design.
Removable, stretch Velcro thigh strap.

FYI, if you order these be advised that the 'knee' protection is well below the knees and effectively covers the shin ONLY. I called cus srvc but they were already closed. I'll call tomorrow but I'm pretty sure I'll just return them and not do an exchange. They fit perfectly, same size as my Levis but I got them specifically for a summer pant with knee protection. Newenough is easy to deal with alright but I still hate having to return something because its not as advertised, plus, I still have to find a good 'cool' summer pant with knee protection. My Cortechs are just too hot when its (too hot) noemsayin?

I ordered some Draggin Jeans tonight.  Wanted to try them out.  I have some FG stuff for the cool weather but needed some other options for the times I might want to enter a restaurant without getting too many strange looks.  (That is, I assume the strange looks are related to my clothing not me...
