Riding on the back of a Busa?

My coworker and I are discussing gals on the backs of bikes...seems her boyfriend is leaning toward keeping her at passenger status instead of encouraging that she ride on her own like she wants to...

I only trust riding on the back of a bike if my Dad's operating it (yep, that means I don't ride two up with the hubby)...I've been on the back of a bike with my Dad since I was a little girl...

But, now I'm wondering what it would be like to be passenger on a Busa?  Rev's thread about taking his mother-in-law has me wondering...I won't be too keen to let the hubby take me out as a passenger on my new Busa...but, I'd like to be a Busa passenger at least once in my life, just so I know what it's like!

Any of you Busa owners ever been passengers on a Busa?

(And I realize I'm asking mostly men this question, and you wouldn't dare admit you rode behind a woman, yet it's somehow worse to admit you rode with a guy...just want to know what it was like?!  Egos aside...)

Then...who wants to come pick me up on their Busa so I can see what it's like for myself!  LOL   :bounce:

Well, you've got a long ride up here...best leave now to pick me up by Saturday! :D

Why should anyone go pick you up if you already said that you only ride pillion with your father?

I was a passenger on my bike once and I liked it. No big deal...

...should have been clearer about that...to date, I've only trusted riding with dear Dad...hubby scares me, and I've only been on the back with my Uncle and Grandfather briefly...

I don't want to be pillion on the Busa with hubby driving...and I think my Dad is afraid of the Busa, so he's not an option...someone very skilled in riding with a pillion would be needed just so I can see what it's like...

Clear as mud now?! :tounge:

Plus...I'm talking about a bunch of Harley guys here! No one has a bullet bike, nor have they been on them! I wouldn't be up for just hopping on with them on my new Busa (when I get it) just to say I was a pillion!

You should ask your dear dad... The busa won't bite. It behaves like a kitten under 5000rpm. The power is in the right hand...

He wouldn't touch it...oh, he loves the way it looks, but I think he's intimidated...I wouldn't push it...

I've been on my bike in the passenger seat a few times, but that was when the bike was on the rear stand, sitting in the garage while I was doing some wiring work. :D

Hey VA, My wife says I can take you for a quick ride when you get down here. I have a couple roads real near the house that are pretty good for a 5 minute intro ride then there are some options as to where to go from there. We allready have gear I think should Fit. Med Shoei RF900, and JR Ballistic.

Just a thought, weather is good around the time of year you mentioned a week or so ago... MikeyUSF would be a candidate if you want to go real fast everywhere. He rides two up a whole lot.

Hey Keith - I'd love that, as long as your wife is fine with a stranger on your Busa!

I can bring some gear, but borrowing a helmet might be nice...I wear a small...wife mind if I use hers?!

Ahh...something to look forward to in Tampa...thanks!

:D

As for Mikey...he's near me? Don't answer that; I'll do some research! Going fast everywhere should be good for a rush...

I'd give ya a ride, Michelle, but there's no way in hell I'd get on the back of one with anybody else driving. I just can't do it...

Why should I be on Keith's Busa?
Sad thing is blondie here probably had to read it two or three times to get it! I was thinking "sh*t! I've gotten Rev's name wrong!"

:withstupid: ---> Please tell the powers that be that I want this to say "I am stupid"...one for the blonde chick okay...

I'm very anti-pillion...hence, I own my own bike, of course!

But, I would like to be on the back of a Busa just once, having someone else worrying about operating it while I hang on for dear life...isn't that something everyone should experience?!

The Gear May not fit quite right but I am not talking going peg scraping in the country.

We Have a Med Shoei helmet (New)
A large Joe Rocket Ballistic Jacket. It will swamp you but Should suffice, or bring your own. Nah, Wife won't mind a bit.

Hell, there is NOTHING I keep from the wife or work under the table to hide. It has proven to be a winning formula!

I told her you might be coming down and that we would all get together for a bite to eat, she said..."Cool"

Sounds great to me Keith...
Honesty is the best policy, plus I hardly consider a mother of two from Virginia much of a threat! :D
Thanks for asking her though...tell her thanks! Now I have something to look forward to besides a nice long week with boring software people and my boss! :tounge:
