This may be already addressed somewhere here. However I would like to know if anyone has used The 1&1/4 spacers in conjunction with helibars. I would expect to have to trim the windshield some as well as longer brake lines, clutch lines, perhaps longer throttle cable also. If anyone has info as to exactly what would be required would like to know. Thanks and I sure am enjoying my 02 Busa. The VFR I had was a great bike, but no comparison to the Busa.

you should not have to change brake line and throttle cable. I did the install you are describing over the weekend and everything reaches. I don't have a windscreen on the bike so I can't be specific about what will need to be trimmed but you are correct that screen will need some trimming to get the full turn.

fast idle cable has to be re-routed to just behind the two bolts that attach the forward section of the gas tank to the frame. some have removed this cable but I didn't want to lose this function for those cold day starts and it's not necessary to remove.

I have both the 1 1/4 Genmar and Helibars. I had to trim the windshield, reroute the fast start cable and double check the throttle cables. I bought Brake and Clutch lines at +1.5" from stock. While you may be able to get the stockers to do the job try jacking the bike up and suspend the front tire in the air to see if the stock brake lines are under tension at full extension. If so I would not recommend running it in that configuration as a brake line failure while rare, could and would be catastrophic.
