Ok, Road America is a 4 mile long road course and the front straight is 3000' long... One bike can use this straight to its full advantage... :bwahahaha:

There is only 1 weekend "Track Day" for bikes on the calendar for the entire year there (and it is the first time).

NESBA got it after years of asking... Being the "Inaugural" event, I gotta go.. There just is no other track on this side of the country that can match up to this facility... super smooth surface, top notch facility and only 300 miles from home..

This would be a great time to try out that "2 free sessions" if you have never tried a track day..

One problem... I gotta miss Spring Bash... but there is "fall bash"

Any Wisconsin folk going to be around? (spectator fees are free)

Miss Spring Bash? Say it ain't so Randy!
Yep.. first time in 3 years I miss a Bash but Road America running a weekend track day is a first and there are going to be some pretty fast guys showing up..

I have a couple "pros" that have offered to give me some one on one time out on the track too and that is like the icing on the cake..

There is always "Fall Bash" , "Eureka Springs", "Stampede", "Caps House" or we could just do a trip up to the Dragon like Biscuit Bash.. :)

Another thing is that I have 12 trips up there in the last 3 years and this last trip was the first and only trip without Don... Fellow FOG founder is sorely missed... Glad you rode with us however! Was really nice having good rider along for the fun :) will ride with you anytime.. :agree:

Road America. No question. There is your answer.

cheers

I spent two days in a skip barber car there last summer, three days the summer before that, and two other skippy classes prior to those. I'll have to look into the dates. That is an AMAZING track, with some of the best on course scenery you'll ever find on a road course. My dad parked a forumla dodge in the inside wall on turn 7. Flat out through the carousel is WILD in the rain. hopefully I'll be able to drag the dragbike up to spectate...

I have been preparing for my first track day ever. Maybe this will be it. When is it scheduled Randy? Maybe I can make my debut at Road America.

Randy, I thought RA had track days during the AMA event the first week of June. You wouldn't have to miss Spring Bash then!

They haven't posted all the info yet from the looks of things, but it's during the Suzuki Doubleheader weekend! http://www.roadamerica.com/Races/RaceInformation.asp?id=23

Hey, using the link you had from the NESBA - look at June 1/2 - ROAD AMERICA - WOOT! You can still make the Bash!

Mmmmm, Road America. Years ago, we didn't miss a race. Can Am, Formula.
Best view area is on the grass at turn 6. 50 feet from the Brat stand..........
Lots of memories there.

never been to the track, sure looks like a nice facility..

And it just gets better... If you can not make Spring Bash and live kind of close...

NESBA announced a $30 per day discount for early registration to the Road America dates in April.

the skinny is this, if you ride 2 days, you can ride for $295 and that includes both days.. Just made it tie for the cheapest track days on the schedule at $155 a day..

Wooohooo!!! I am down for both days.. (April 24/25)

as long as it passes tech, dont know why not... question is , how ya gonna ride it..

Good, I'll email them to be sure.

I'm not gonna try and set any track records just have a good time, learn to be a better rider and maybe make some friends.

I noticed they have a track in Northern Ill. Blackhawk Farms, thats like 35 mins from my house. Pretty cool, never even knew it was there.
