The rocket pocket by TechSpec lets you store your valuables in the “trunk†of you bike. Keeping them save and secure, and not sliding around. It has a simple yet effective design. You have a piece of metal that acts as your frame, that also has a hinged door. Then you have a pouch that is velcroed to the perimeter.
Installation is very easy. Just remove the two phillips head screws that hold down the seat/cowl locking mechanism. Align the two holes in the rocket pocket to those on the frame, then reinstall the locking mechanism and you done.
Fit is perfect, and it doesn’t interfere with anything. I removed the tool kit, but it is not necessary. I did it to have just a little more room.
TechSpec say’s “just the basicsâ€. I’ve been using one for a couple months and the Rocket Pocket rocks. I went on a ride and had my wallet, cell phone, and a small point and shoot camera and it still had room for more. It really come in handy when running quick errands. Though it wont replace a tank bag, but if your going on a short ride, or even if your doing a track day and just want a secure place to toss your keys while your on track. Then you may want to look into a Rocket Pocket. Right now they’re only available for 99-current Hayabusa’s. Cost is $69.95 which seems a little much for what you get, but you can leave your valuables in your bike and no one would know. If you interested in a Pocket Rocket check out TechSpec's site. They also sell awesome tank grips.
