Rode with\"Paulie\" from Las Vegas extremes last night

201mph

Several of the Las Vegas extremes are in Oklahoma City this week doing filming for their new video. They were on Northwest Highway last night filming, but by the time me and several friends arrived the cops were there and one of the bikes had chunked and we waited on a truck to carry it off. After everyone there- 15 or so sport bikes- went to Outback Steakhouse(and the OKC cops helped to participate in Paulies staged arrest), about 12 bikes took off for Norman. As I followed there were a lot of mile long wheelies but it was awesome to watch Paulie on I-44 riding backwards, standing it on the back tire while doing a can-can on the side and accelerating to over 120mph and moving around other bikes and changing lanes at the same time. These guys are as good as you hear they are. All this was with gusty winds at around midnight as thunderstorms moved into town! The new video should be great, the're going to Dallas tomorrow with plans to ride their Triumph off a cliff into a lake or some such thing. He took my big blue Busa and spun it on the kickstand like a toy. The trick is to tilt it far enough to rest it on the flange and it's almost effortless. He's a very down to earth guy, and was super nice to my daughter who had ridden with me to see him. These guys have both a steering damper and some other kind of a steering lock so that the front won't wobble too bad when they jump from the seat to the tank or ride behind the bike with their shoes draggin' on the road. Awesome to see.

I should mention that his full name is Paul Sherar, and he rides a 99 blue and white gixxer 750 that has a few scratchs and dents on the tank either from standing on it or laying it down, a throttle lock, reinforced winshield mounts, and a lot of repairs obvious on it. It has different sprockets and will stand up at any speed and stay up for however long he wants it too.

I noticed that they sell the light for underneath the bike in front of the rear tire for those nightime wheelies that just shoot your headlight straight up on their website too! Do you see them often in Vegas?

The dampers that they use are HyperPro. They are supplied from Dynojet, who now sells them for the Hayabusa...

Hows it going VegasDude? Long time since I've posted. How is your sweet ride running? Have you done any further adjusting since our meeting at Desert Suzuki?

no mark but im getting motorhead's air box mod and i need to set up a session with dynojet to make a map for it................when i get it i'll call. the bike is running great..................

Those guys are unbelievable. I heard they use GXR750's exclusively? I've seen the video clips like we all have.

Not only that, but they get the chicks too.

201 you bring up a good point about the extra equip the use to help the stability a bit. I wonder how many folks try their stunts on normal bikes with bad results.

They seem to have a good amount of the wheelie lights on their buddies bikes out here. (Vegas) - I raced D-Mann on the Freeway in my 97 Venom 600 Viper with Spray about 4 months ago (215hwy;2AM;175MPH) and BARELY pulled from him. He's got one STRONG running bike (the red one) Afterwards he rode one of his crazy wheelies for a good mile as we made our way back to the gas station. If you have not got it, get the video - Very funny and some seriously impressive tricks.

hey jason, do you have the blue busa with the yosh cams........if so I was the copper busa that did the roll on with you when Flipper drove the turbo bike that one saturday....................
