rpm limit ???

Hi everybody,

i'm owning a k8 busa with Power commander 5 and X-TRE from healtech.I was thinking that the TRE was supposed to remove the rpm limit at 11800 so i'll be able to shift at 12000 or 12500 on the drag strip...

Did i made a mistake with the program on the X-TRE or i need something else ???

Junk the tre and get the ecu editor from boostbysmith.com - Home, it's $208 and does everything.
Including removing the 1st through 4th gear restrictions and top speed limiter.

I don't know if there's a real benefit. Thinking the torque curve is headed back south at those numbers

Unless you have cams and head work, you will gain nothing by raising to RPM limit.

I dont think it raises the rpm limit, only removes the top speed restriction. Could be wrong but I have never heard of a tre having this function.

I agree unless its a far from stock motor. That's way over in RPM's . I shift mine around 10500 on my tac and that seems to Keep it on the right on top of the Torque.
