I went back through some old board on this topic.I noticed some interesting analogies.I dont agree with most.the rev.limiter being fuel operated if you have'nt addressed this with your set up your rolling the dice if you hit the limiter she goes lean she makes wax pistons.she bogs she loads the box(better not shift if your ignition has ground based kill calapsing coil field at low rpm can give cylinder thats on intake stroke a spark with the spray entering and with the given loss of air speed may allow charge into box making the infamous bomb)dont take chances whith your life I will tell you how to do it if you'll use it.your life is worth more than i can make off this stupid set up.but if you dont give a **** then ignore this.at least i can sleep at night knowing i offered to help.also at low rpm the unburned mixture when exposed can cause the flame to revert back toward the chamber ,and further during overlap.especialy at the slower engine speeds

M-HEAD, spell it how ever!.......we get the point!

BTW, Do you know of a safe Nitrous system ready for use?

There are plenty of people that talk about them on here but nobody feels good enough about thier product to put it on the market.

I know it's a long road to go down...and there are alot of details to get worked out before someone can render a safe setup, but there has been talk about systems coming out in november then december and so on...

Turborick seems to be having success with his setup....and maybe he'll be one of the front runners on get a system out there soon??? Time will tell?

The first systems that come out will be bought by people that are tired of waiting and just want something that safely works...

And just like everything else...all the trick stuff will come out in due time.

But the main thing is just getting something out there first....

So My question is...Who will it be and what will they have to offer?

Frank

the parts are already available to make it much safer most are just too cheap to buy the extra parts and take thier chances.because any kit will work on the busas etc. but dont bogg or miss a shift!!!

M-HEAD, Tell us about the Nitrous kit you have on your Busa...

What works for You?

Explain why your system can't handle a "bogg" or "over rev"?

(feed the hungry minds)

frank and kwik e-mail me and i'll send you a list and suppliers names for part needed .frank nitrous express but may remove for turbo after dyno gets here and i try different jets just to check what horse power they make.yhe jets i use now are suppose to be 150 horse but we'll see.numbers talk bull schit walks.

I truely would like to know when someone comes out with a safe system. The guy at Nitrous Express told me on the phone don't buy a system because at that time they hadn't worked out the problem. The problem being that it would backfire so violently that it will blow to off the bike. Brock Davidson has pictures of his go round and was completely unimpressed over that!

well i didnt send it to you for them to copy besides they don't want to be beat to the punch by some little guy.it would bust thier egos.i realy dont know whats taking them so long to realize the problem.they always did point fingers at the injection remember the gpz if thier was a problem it must be that ,same here.we have a lack of inovative thinking in the sport to some degree now.the attitude is to run what they run and if that dont work it cant be done, figure that?

Malcolm, I'm not sure you really know what happened to Brock & his Nitrous back fire?

Brock had a valve shim pop out causing his valve to stay open which lead to the back fire. Thats all......

Most people didn't know that and thats why they're blowing the whistle at the Nitrous system.

Motorhead, are you still sending that info?

Frank

nitrous safety features have lacked on bikes for ever.what happened on the second explosion frank? i'm sure brock knows and has it taken care of he's a smart cookie.and yes i'll get that info to you.I've been getting a reading on its reaction time now, before i tell you to use it.but its working as designed.I see kwik has had some testicular growth durin the offseason but don't turn up the wick till you change that pipe too restrictive.put the box on before you ride it!

kwik turbo;got the copy of your dyno sheets you sent I'll have to mess with that thing on the base power next month.was that 266hp with your stock cans and air filter?was that the supposed 150hp jetting?looked like only about 111 to me!i'll put it on my dyno end of february should be here by then you maybe a little fat.I just wanted it safe for now.we'll give it a little more then.how much timing are you pulling out?e-mail me you havent answered since you got inst.we'll have some hp.wars when she comes in and see who backs out first.Iknow it won't be me.you won't make it past 300 before you scury away.they dont recycle aluminum for nothin! woos.

Yes , it is fat.Iam using c16 now with 6 degrees of retard and about 1 second delay on progressive.I'll pull out some fuel with the 200hp.jets and see what I get.I think she should be at 320hp still fat. I'll let you dial in the big boys and we will see who is the girlyman?! I think we'll stop at 400hp if the rods are not like snakes by then.no wars past that I know you to well and cannot afford this stuff.

Yes,stock cans.I'll take them off for the next phase.will you do the airbox mod on my bike before then(this week)?I know your busy but let me know.

Guys,
It is a matter of liability. Most nitrous installers do not have the appropriate electronics background or system check-out skills to install a system on an EFI machine.

The first person that spells it out, runs the risk of KILLING someone.

It is a catch 22....I don't want to see anyone get injured, as much as I don't want to give my house and possesions to their widow.

Brock

FYI. My worst explosion was with Carbs!
