That’s what I am thinking, although the price of used “toys” as gone up so much that new has become a reasonable proposal.

People can see the hyperinflation and massive devaluing of currency coming and are 'investing' in material goods... or they've just realized that life is short and they should enjoy themselves while they can.
I can't recall ever seeing a Hayabusa commercial for any of the generations... I think I saw a print ad in a bike magazine back when the 1999 was about to debut but Suzuki doesn't seem to ever advertise their powersport products on mainstream media. At least not here in the Great White North.
