Actually got to catch it on TV last night (thank you to fstbusa for the download too) and was unimpressed with how this was done. I think it was great that they paid the ultimate respect to the Busa but they did a poor job of it. If you don't like ranting click "back" now.
-This is the second Discovery show with the Busa that had this Mark Reese, soory if the name is wrong, from Suzuki. This guy comes across as a complete moron and appears capable of nothing more than reading from some rubber stamped corporate handout. Come on, they are recognizing the bike as the best ever and you can't even show some enthusiasm or say something with some substance. This could be the editing but twice, from the same guy, Suzuki better send out someone new.
-The "Team Hayabusa" rider looked rediculous. He looked like a human fishing lure on a beautifull motorcycle. Again it may be the editing but his riding skills did not look very good to me. I am not a great rider so I am not comparing to me, but I have seen enough of everyone's videos here to know that his wobbly ass could have been beat by alot. Also, what was with him riding like someone had a softball stuck under his balls when they were showing the bikes moving side profile with rider tucked. His ass was 4+" off of the seat. This isn't a good time horse your riding ya damn "lure jockey".
-The last disappointment is with the Discovery channel, which I love. This is the best bike ever built and they simply screw it up. The piece was booring except for the part when they showed the Suzuki wind tunnel testing. Nobody wants to watch this bike go 20mph with a rider in the seat screwing a softball. Burn outs are also old news, anyone can do them. Show this bike doing a 200mph run, show the bike doing an awesome wheelie, show more behind the scenes of how it was designed and built, be a journalist and get something out of Suzuki about what it may be in the future, if it is around in the future, show local Busa clubs or events to show the cult following, put your editor on one and show the look on his face afterwards, but don't show what you did.
I thought the first Discovery special with the Busa was far better. This one just fell rediculously short of the mark.
