Say a Prayer

I'm very sorry to hear about your buddy. Best wishes for him and all that know him.

Sorry about your friends. You cannot blame yourself, there is an inherent risk with motorcycles, and no one can control the cagers from our bikes. It is bad Juju but, not your fault.

Havoc -

Sorry to hear about your friends, but like the others said. there is no way you can blame yourself. We all ride, we all invite others to ride with us, that is what we do, and we try our best to take care of each other and look out for each other. But when something bad happens, it happens.

Cant blame yourself..

I know the feeling. I felt the same way when my neighbor bought his bike and had an accident whcih cost him his leg. I wan't even in town and never saw the bike. But I know that part of the reason he bought it was to ride with me. You can't help but feel guilty. But there wasn't anything anyone could do. Hang in there.

Sorry to hear.

hope your friends recover and get well soon.

So sorry havoc...I'm glad he's alive...don't blame yourself; anything can go wrong when riding...

My thoughts are with him...

Sorry to hear about your friends.
My prayers are with all of you.

I would feel the same way if I were you. Everyone will confirm that this wasn't your fault, but it sure puts you in a "what-if" mental state.

If anything would have went different that day, none of this would have happened period... but everything was right for this to happen.

There are many times in my life when I wish I would of... (or wouldn't of)

Thought and prayers to your friends and yourself~
Don't beat yourself up over this~ I know how rough it can be, but there is nothing you could have done to change the situation~ You can't start thinking, 'if only I hadn't invited them'.. if only we had left the gas station 5 minutes earlier'~ I've been there before, brother, it only makes things worse on yourself~
Just try to be there for your friends in anyway you can~ Even if it's just to mow the lawn or feed the dogs for them~ Hold a car/bike wash to raise some money to help your friends and their family~ It will be apreciated more then you can imagine~
I'm truly sorry for what you are having to deal with in life at this time~ I do know how hard it can be~ Try to stay positive for their sake~

i HAD A FRIEND LOSE A LEG 2 YEARS AGO IN A SIMILAR ACCIDENT. ALTHOUGH I ALWAYS FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE WHEN WE ARE TOGETHER. HE HAS STARTED RIDING AGAIN WITH CUSTOM MADE HAND LEVERS AND SAID FROM THE BEGINNING THAT THE 10 POUNDS HE LOST WITH THE LEG SAVES HIM ALMOST A 1/2 SECOND AT THE TRACK... LAUGHTER CURES ALL... RIDE SAFE AND KEEP SMILING

Can't imagine what you're going through Havoc, but it's every man/woman's choice to straddle those monsters and feel the wind. I don't know what your buddies faith is, but the bible tells us that "ALL THINGS WORK FOR THE GOOD OF THOSE THAT SERVE THE LORD". Meaning, just when the enemy throws his best pitch our Father has other plans. It may have been that had he continued to ride he would have lost his life. I don't know, but I do know there is a reason for everything on God's green earth. God bless your friend and yourself in this difficult time.
