scammer question

I think I have a scammer interested in my ad on craigslist.:omg: the conversation is almost textbook, (too busy to deal with in person but trusts my ad and wants it unseen , give addy & full name to put on the moneyorder or certified check, has a reputable shipping co. that will handle everything and will overpay the amount asked to cover shipping, etc). question is : what is the best way to nail them???? I hate people like this if it is really a scammer. I even offered to deliver or at least talk on the phone...nope...too busy (but has plenty of time to e-mail:dunno: ) anyhow... any hints...I wanna bust 'em ???

dont waste your time. they have a lot more experience running scams than you do busting scammers. report them to craigslist and let them deal with it from there.

Tell them to send the money order, then call the bank that's listed on the money order and you'll probably find that it's out of business. Then contact the FBI if you're inclined with all the information you have and be done with it.

I was gonna give the money order to my sister in law to check it out, she's a loan officer @ American Bank, before I'd try to cash it or ship out the goods. I don't wanna pay some one to take my stuff by covering thier bad check.

you could always tell him that you dont plan on shipping until you get confirmation from the bank that the check is valid. See what he says then and go from there.

I wouldn't touch it; it's not worth your time to try to bust this azzhat. Report them and move on....

I wonder if places like craigslist even attempt to bust these people. They'll just make new accounts anyway...

Just get the check aproved before handing over the bike and thats that

Ask him to wire; it's the only way you can guaranty the money is real and can't be taken back.....

Text book scam, just walk away, nothing can really be done without extraordinary measures.

I like to mess with these people. It takes alot of time but if they're wasting it with me, that's at least one less person they're scamming.
