Due to every other post on this board being about getting their bikes stolen or almost stolen, I was thinking of getting a scorpio alarm. Can anyone here who has one give me some info? I like the fact that it pages you so you can run back to your bike and kick someones head in.

Here's one vendor that sells them: http://www.aritronix.com/ but I'm sure there are others. It works great for me and has alerted me while in a restaurant eating that someone was in the parking lot checking out my bike. I dodn't do my own install so I can't help there, but definitely 2 thumbs up for its functionality!!

i helped install one on a friend's bike and it was easy. i was also impressed by the quality and i plan on buying one in the future.

DO A search on the alarm on this board there is a great post I put up with pics, coments, and links. By the way if you use the link above ask for greg and mention the board he'll take care of you. The remote is good for a good 1/2 mile.

Mine is being installed in the next few days. Got lucky and purchased from a board member that went with another option. Had a frenzy on them back in the spring.

First night I put mine on it alerted me at 3:15 am. I looked out the window and some teenagers were standing around and sitting on it! I set the alarm off...they blazed like roachs and I went back to bed.... My comfort level went up 100%
I got mine from kneedraggers .com $358 to the door.
One problem though.....My control unit was bad. Scorpio replaced it.....but during our troubleshooting their tech wanted to verify the wiring harness for the busa, because they've had wires reversed in them. The connectors for the harness are idiot proof, just double check that the bikes grounds are connected to the harness grounds.. I ended up not using my harness/it is correct, so if anyone wants it, it'll cost ya a Pepsi.

Got me one during the spring sale. Love mine and Icemann gave me the instructions on how to wire the lights to make the lights flash when it goes off also...

Thanx again Icemann. One other thing, I lost my remote for it, and they sent me another one in two days. It was like $60, which included shipping. Just re-program and it's done.

Just ordered from kneedraggers, they were the cheapest.$309 + $20 for the harness. I got the one with everything but the anti-hijack option...if you can take it from me you deserve it.

the scropio alarm is awesome, It has saved my bike from being stolen several times. I love the prem sensor. It is really worth the money to have one. Stock up on AAA batteries though the remote drains them in about a month. Ohh also, you really don't need the harness. I have harness but I just spliced into the lines on a friends bike. Didn't have to cut any wires. Just spliced into the 2 wires on the rear signals, and it comes with everything you need to do it. Save your money and don't get the harness it isn't worth the $20 extra

Ohhh and the remote is not good for 1/2 mile not even 1/4 a mile. On a good say it will reach about 1/8 mile. I've tested mine and a friends, both were about the same.

Use 2200 MAH rechargable batteries and you'll get better reception/distance! Plus, they last a lot longer. About $6 at walmart! Charger is another $12....
