The problem with removing the screen is in the rubber *wellnuts* that Suzuki uses. The bike arrives in the crate without the screen in place, if the mechanic tightened the two screws too tight then the rubber deformes and the rubber parts end up with bulges in them. I used a pair of needle nose pliers to grab them as your hands may not get a good grip on the little rubber *wellnuts* flat washer like areas.
Careful you don't scratch the paint, jiggle the sreen around as you pull on the *wellnuts*, as screen hole and fairing hole alignment is a little peculiar.
When you get them out either put in new ones ($5ea) or get a razor blade and trim off the lumps.
