On my 1200bandit going along in 2nd gear at any speed it wants, whenever it wants it will pop out of gear and be in neutral.
Its in the shop now and before they even test rode it they were saying its my fault blaming it on missed shifts, but yet i have done that maybe 2x.Theres already talk about it not being covered by the warranty, and i'd have to pay out over $1200 for a new trans.
Anyone smart that knows what this is?
This is with about 7000miles.

YOU HAVE 1 BENT SHIFT FORK 2ND AND 6TH GEARS ENGADGEMENT DOGS ARE WORN AND THE SHIFT DRUM MOST LIKELY HAS EITHER A ROUNDED OR CHIPPED EDGE.GET IT UNDERCUT THIS TIME AND IT WILL TAKE MORE ABUSE.

So your saying i destroyed my tranny?
Any idea what this will all cost?
And whats having it undercut mean?
What do you think i did in order for this to happen?

Not to flame you or give you a hard time but seldom are tranny problems the fault of the manufacturer. It is usually the fault of the operator. Bandit tranny are about as bullet proof as you can get. Work on yur shifting. Shift harder and your gear dogs will suffer less abuse. lower your shifter lever. Install a grease fitting where it pivots and keep it lubed. And if shift lever is loose, replace or install an insert in it.
