Hello out there...
It is time for me to get a new set of BT014s for front and rear and while I'm at it, new rear brake pad, clutch, brake and coolant fluids and new plugs. My plan is to get an estimate from the dealer on the whole deal and then decide if I should do some of this myself such as plugs and fluids. Anyone have ballpark ideas on cost (maybe excluding the tires). Also, is there is site that I can go to that has detailed info on replacing the fluids myself ?
Thanks a bunch !
Mike

for the dealer to do it, it would be in the hundreds of dollars

Tires gonna run u about 250 shipped to ur house...

Not sure about the cost of other parts, but ur better off gettin the Busa's Manual (haynes) and goin at it urself for three main reason..

1. NEVER trust the dealers, they will screw with ur bike!
2. $$$$$, you will save alot of green doin it this way
3. Just the sheer enjoyment of spendin quality time with your baby and gettin to know her!!

just my $.02 GL

I just got my first busa, but I've worked on bikes before.  I would suggest getting a suzuki service manual or CD.  5 bucks for the CD in .pdf format and around $60.00 for the manual from the dealer.  Changing brake pads and all of your fluids will be covered.   Lastly the last time I needed new tires I search around and found the one's I wanted online at a good price and took both my front and rears to the dealer and they swapped tires and balanced me up for $70.00.

Ditto!

Tires, take it out and bring it to the shop with new tires, less than 100 (+tires), Antifreez to engine ice 30, if you need instructions refer to maintenance sites (back to hayabusa board scroll down to maintenance Dept. ask guys around...) plugs are up to you...bunch of them out there...iridiums are hot but won't last...I'll stick with regular NGK...BTW, how many miles on your busa?

Right at ~7,000 miles. I'll be putting on my 4rth rear tire, the front still looks OK but I want to replace both this time. 2004 red limited. Front brakes look fine, rear is getting close. About the only thing I am dissapointed about on this bike is the wear of the rear tire. Very expensive to replace it every 2700 miles....
