Did they change really early models??

Nuts-
There is a difference in the '99 model.
The copper was different than the black- that is why the copper is faster. Also the copper has more cut out problems, so you don't pull too many bike lenghts ahead of your riding mates. Beating them by 2-3 lenghts will still do...

average rider on the copper/silver or black or red/silver or blue/silver will get average speed and will not beat a really good rider on the same bike. It will boil down to who will tune your bike to the best optimum performance.Copper, Red, Blue they are all fast but it takes the rider to go the extra mile and speed and performance. My $20 worth

C'mon guys,
I was only joking, I got the copper for the same reason most people chose their color back in early '99:
IT WAS THE ONLY ONE THE DEALER HAD AT THE TIME, AND I REALLY WANTED A 'BUSA!!!

Sorry nuts;
was there an answer to NN's original post??

Hava

In response to your post I was playing too, but the first post is true.

I was wondering if anyone knew why
that is all!

Nuts needs to read the rest of the manual. Section 10-1, specification differences between the blue/silver(special hp version) and all others.

hehe

um, I hate to worry you, but if you continue and read the fine print, last line on inside back cover, it categorically states, and I quote....."black and charcoal have been proven to far out run, out dyno, out class and generally look far better than any other make, colour, or sex of motorcycle, automobile or other machine used for any mode of transport."

So, what they are trying to say, in 5 easy to understand words are...

Black and Charcoal Is Best

so there!!

anyway, anyone know the answer to my first post???

Nuts ;)

I'll bring the manual in tonight and scan the piccys for ya.
