Over winter I am putting a 6" over arm on. I have about 30 weak passes at the track...that is my experience.

Where is a safe spot to to put the axel in respect for future adjustment? Should I leave 2" - 1.5" - 1" to the back rest point?

Also with the longer chain does the stock slack method for tightness apply?

Last question...I have a -1, stock, and a +1 front sproket...I had the -1 on at the end of the year...I also have a turbo...does anybody suggest the +1 over stock? I am going to eventually try them both...I just looking for oppinions.

Thanks, Ryan

Axle placement depends on chain length. Is the arm adjustable? You want to leave enough space to pick up slack that will develop when the chain stretches. Leave between 1/4 and 1/8 inch slack in the chain. Gearing depends on your weight and set up. Do you have a multi-stage boost controller? Lock up or slider? Are you leaving in the boost?

I have adjustment from front to rear vs. holes that limit the placement. I would like to have it near the back, but I want to leave room for chain stretch...I am just not sure how much space to leave...

I do not have a lock up, slider, or a boost controller. I am leaving under boost. I weigh 250lbs with leathers...I have a stock shock/spring that has been stiffened up by adjusting the spanner nut.

Thanks for the reply.

Just don't set it so far back that the chain can't be tightened up when it loosens up.
Set it where it has the slack I mentioned in the earlier post, and check it after a few runs.
Given what you told me I'm guessing a stage 1 turbo, around 240 hp? I would leave the stock front sprocket on. What is your rear sprocket?
Set the compression and rebound so the bike squates quick and comes back up slowly.
