Sherman hater? Watch the video!

I don't really understand why everybody has a problem with his remarks after the game?? He didn't curse use profanity or a racial slur. I've heard worse said on the sidelines by parents @ peewee football. He made the game winning play that got his team 2 the SuperBowl. He is an elite shutdown corner if not the Best cover corner in the game. He knows it his team knows it and the other teams know it as well. Right now he's that guy.... his team is going 2 the SuperBowl and he's making millions of dollars and you want a guy like that 2 be humble and reserved?? Times have changed this ain't the old school leather helmet "Power I formation" football anymore. These athletes are physically and financially gifted above us common folk. They get the praise and all the perks that come along with it as well as the criticism.

He talked some smack after the game so what?? If Crabtree had caught that pass and the 49'ers won the game do you think Crabtree would've been quiet?? Hell No!! They were jawing back n forth the entire game, matter of fact the whole season they had beef. You want a guy like Sherman 2 shutup and just play football?? Here's how you do it... you flat out beat him!! you make that pass/catch against him and shut him up with a victory

Until then he's not gonna shut up......

I'm not a hater, and after watching that, I will admit he is truly a student of the game and I can see why he's respected by many. I also hope Manning never throws a ball anywhere near the guy on February 2nd

Having said that, can't any of the Seahawks fans agree that his reaction, in front of millions watching, warranted a little bit more thought? You've just won a huge game, you've just proven yourself - why say anything to negate that hard work? I get that it's the heat of the moment and the adrenaline was still pumping, but he's paid a lot to NOT be a complete fool as a representative of the entire team. It's a damn shame that in those moments he couldn't stop himself and just say "Give me a moment" to calm down, then come across as a more rational person. What he did for all of those that didn't know him was become an overnight bad sensation. He's now a joke, an internet meme, the butt of every late night talk show host's opening joke and right up until the big game, he's swayed so many away from the very team he's so proud to be a part of...don't you think for just a moment he should have thought before he spoke? He can go home every night and pet puppies and kittens and feed the homeless, but that first impression to the masses last Sunday is all that anyone seems to remember. It's a shame, especially if that's not who he really is...it's unfortunate, but that's the pace of society today. Everything is right here, right now, and redemption is tough. I suppose if he wins again, he'll be the first one to go off on the entire nation to show everyone how wrong we were about him, again

Actions speak louder than words...that's the one thing he didn't study, apparently

I am thankful for the funnies coming from this though

Vab, Sherman was pumped full of Testosterone, not Estrogen. He is from Compton, not Beverly Hills. He's been talking smack since diapers and no one expects him to change. He is not the first athlete who smack talked his way to stardom. Shannon Sharp, who played tight end for Denver for many years was the first NFL player I noticed doing exactly what Sherman does, talk s**t to his opponent. I always loved to watch Sharp play and the smack talk was the icing on the cake because he too could back up his smack talk with performance. Probably the most famous athlete to smack talk his way to stardom was Mohammed Ali who was the master of mind games with his opponent via smack talk.

I hope you appreciate Sherman for what he is (A future hall of famer if he continues to play at this level) and mellow out on the smack talk cause it ain't gonna stop.

Something I learned after Sunday's game is that Richard Sherman brings his entire family to every game he plays. Apparently he is a dedicated family oriented man as well. Seems we could use a lot more of that throughout professional sports.

Hey, I'll give you 3 points and take the Hawks for a dollar! :beerchug:

Can't wait to watch these two teams go at it! :cheerleader:

All of 'em smack talk before, during and after the games...shoot, I watch boxing and there's way more smack talking in that sport if you follow it long enough

My point is that these athletes are paid a lot to represent their teams, so act like it. I'm not one of those that think athletes are here to set an example for our youth, though those that do get high marks, and while Sherman may not have been from Beverly Hills, everyone's quick to point out that he went to Stanford, so he does know better, he just didn't calm himself down enough to use coherent sentences when it really mattered in front of millions.

I too hope it'll be a good game...I want my Broncos to win, but if they don't, I'm thrilled with the match-up and I'm so glad to see 'em in the big game after so many years
