Shifter engine cover removal

my chain broke and cracked my shifter engine cover and water pump. I can not get the bottom bolt out of the shifter cover. the one behind the kickstand. its in the pic with the red arrow.

Since your going to trash the cover anyways, can you get a cut off wheel in there and cut the head of the bolt off?

A flex head wrench can get in there...It is a pain but with a bit of patience you can get at the bolt

A Snap on 8 mm shallow swivel socket works great if you can borrow one!

If in chassis, take top 2 allen bolts out motor, rear top bolt thru cases, loosen 2 front lower allens, remove bottom rear bolt through cases. Jack rear of motor up to rotate front towards ground. Get a pry bar in to lift rear of motor a little to clear frame and remove bottom lower cover bolt. Install new cover and gasket and reverse resecuring motor.
