For a while now I have noticed the bike shifting oddly miss shifts and such. I was attempting to stop at an intersection and the bike wouldn't downshift past fifth gear. So yesterday I was riding home from a friends house after working out and noticed the shifting was very sloppy, so when I got home I began to evaluate the shifter and I noticed that the bolt that holds the shift linkage to the shifter peg (splined post protruding from the transmission) was GONE. I called the local stealership and got another for free, no real big problem, but I remember reading a bunch of the guys on here disgruntled about the upshifts this could be the culpprit. Mine shifts better now than it ever has so it could have been loose from the get go.
