I have taken the course, but still choose to clutchless shift along with many other to love to race....If you don't know that you "should" clutch shift for every gear, I recommend that you take the MSF course for your & everyone else's safety!
True an airshifter does do that for you, but then again. I'm not the one that asked the question!I have taken the course, but still choose to clutchless shift along with many other to love to race....If you don't know that you "should" clutch shift for every gear, I recommend that you take the MSF course for your & everyone else's safety!
What did you think an airshifter does for you... It applies same concept....
The air shifter does almost exactly what clutch shifting is... Kills throttle and pops the gears... pretty simple device reallly...could some one tell me how an air shifter works. i think i get the idea and concept but i would like someone to tell me the nitty gritty. does the clutch need to be modified?
i think i like the clutch when crusin, and no clutch when going all-out theory.
Thank you guys for the correction...Chevelle is right - the air shifter kill the ignition for the length of the shift.
Almost all road racers use the 1st "up" and the rest "down" for shifting orientation - pretty standard on the track.
Also, Keith Code teaches you in his Superbike School to to make your shifts without the clutch. If the engine and transmission speeds are "matched" by bliping the throttle, the bike will shift effortlessly.
