Shoei RF-1400 fit

Can one tune these helmets with internal pads and liners?

I replaced my trusty RF-1000 which fitted me perfectly with a RF-1400, and the new one fit is not that great. Had to move from a medium, which was fine on the 1000 to a large on the 1400. Too tight on the cheek pads and too loose on the upper head space, so I can't tuck in like I used to.

I'm either going to have to figure out if different liner and pads can sort it out, or try a different make.

Anyone experience this?

I have an RF1200, that's about 4 years old now, and the wife has an RF1400 that's almost 2.
Both have interchangable cheek pads, both liners are removable, and both are good helmets.
The RF1400 is heavier, and the rest is styling.
If the 1400 is quieter than the 1200, it is minimal, and I wear earplugs anyway.
The RF1400 is a good helmet, but I prefer the RF1200 as it's lighter

RF1200 is matte black
RF1400 is gloss black
Both are size Large

Yes, you can tune the fit. I have the same helmet and it's nice. I had to change the pads on mine too. Also ended up putting a piece of foam in the top of the helmet in order to get it where I could see in tuck position. Amazon has all sorts of foam pieces
