OK, so I was rolling along minding my own business today when I had a BMW 3 series want to tangle with me.
Why...
Instant memories of all the times folks in bimmers have messed with me while driving slow cars in the past... Payback time. I dunno what he was thinking.
Should I feel bad for taking him up on his offer and leaving him...predictably...in the dust at each stoplight? Yes, it was cruel, but in a fun way... and only up to the speed limit (though he insisted on (eventually) passing, driving at least 70 in a 55...) Messing around is bad enough, but I'm not going to exceed speed limits. 15 over gets the bike impounded.
On another note... the Busa has become my daily commuter since losing my military career. I was fortunate to have found a new job, but can't afford to fill the truck up each week... so put about 30 miles on the Busa to/from work each day, plus grabbing groceries as able, going to church, etc. It is nice to have found a pleasant level of confidence with the bike, to have survived numerous evasive maneuvers, and numerous rides in the rain. Not sure I could ever go back to a smaller bike, as this one feels quite stable and secure under every riding condition I've encountered. Been a nice time... and I never thought I'd be riding a motorcycle DAILY. Cost savings for not having to buy 15 gallons of diesel once a week... considerable.
