has anyone ever used the new silverstar bulbs ? and/or what is a good bulb (high/low beam)that will give the most light, no HID, those things cost too much

The HID may not be too expensive if you get the good price with Xenon King! Plus they throw some cash toward Capt. with every purchase:cool:

Nope, but you could use a 100w high beam, seemed to work pretty well.

There is also an 85w low beam, which should throw a lot more light and not be to hard on the charging system. Might not be strictly legal, though

I've used them in my truck ... they are very nice and bright as crap. You'll wind up annoying some folks but they would be great for back roads or dark city roads as bright lights or even low beams

but the deal with Xenon King is a good one, so you might check into that... we are talking two totally different price ranges though ... you could get two pairs of silverstars (hi & lo) for a lot less than the true HID but there's a definate difference..... just depends on if you want to lay out the $$$

If you decide to go with a HID just PM KS-Waterbug or myself for the password and pricing for the best discount for HID's at Xenon King.

Glyn & UNDRPSI --

You have any specific brand of 100W (I'm thinking the 100 will throw out more light than the 85, stupid question but I just had to ask!) that you would recommend

?

Zuk -- I just forwarded the e-mails concerning the HID Hi-Beam.
