Simpson bandit

I`ve got one and compared to a aria ...I`d give the aria a 9 and the simpson a 3-4 at best. The simpson is heavier and noisy...the shield still does the same thing. I`ve got a like new white one in 7 3/4 if you want a good deal on one. Probably wore it 10 times. They are still the coolest looking helmet around though and thats why I originally bought one. BTW the one I have is a nomex model also...in case someone needs one for car racing.

Any one use one of these? I was thinking about getting a new one. Rode today in my old one and was very surprised how much better it cut the wind.

Do the new ones seal better around the visor? How about flipping the visor up and down? My older bandit started to close by it's self around 80.

I had my shoei rf800 shield lil flip up thingy to allow air in up the other day goin bout 80 and it(the visor) flipped up, dang near broke my neck. Ticked me off, helmet's only 6 months old, retired the Bell Star.

I ride with one (got one for my passenger also.) I had Russ over at Tapeworks make up some GSX1300R's for the front sides and a 5 inch by 5 inch symbol and 'hayabusa' for the back. 30 bucks per helmet and I get loads of compliments. I originally bought the helmets with the intention of getting skulls painted on the helmets with the skin ripping off from front to back, but decided to go with tapeworks due to the super high quality of other work I've had them do in the past on other bikes of mine. I changed my mind because this bike is a truly understated sleeper, and I didn't want to go super-splashy 'hey give me a ticket' style with it. Russ even matched the colors (I've got a 99 black and silver.) The Super Street Bandit was dirt cheap out of Motorcycle Acces Warehouse (275.00 each to my door.) I'm satisfied with the Darth Vader look, but whatever... buckets are a very personal thing. I actually had Dennis Kirk price match (plus a dollar cheaper,) when I ordered from them. I've never had a problem with them (Dennis Kirk) and they price match, so it is what it is. Just my two cents... Later.

The Arai is the best overall helmet but I'm using a Simpson RX-8 and as far as looks are concerned, there is no competition...
