Slamming, extended swing-arm throwing off speedometer?

Hey Busa family,

I have a 2006 Hayabusa. I purchased the bike from a shop. The bike was already slammed with an extended swing-arm. My concern is my speedometer. I checked my sprockets Front: 17T, Rear: 40T. When riding the speed limit I feel that I am going extremely slow. Could my speedometer be thrown off by my mods, slamming and extended swing-arm? Tires are - Front: 120/70-17, Rear: 190/50-17.

Lowering and extending will not affect your speedometer but the sprockets will. Just get yourself a speedohealer and your be fine.

17/40 I think was stock for gen1. Just get a speedohealer or just know your showing 8-10% higher then what really doing.

Ie showing 55 your doing like 50.

i use speedo DRD. its easy install and you can just use the online tool they give you to program the device with. it also readjusts for the few percent a factory bike is usualy off. but stock size sprockets will get you with in a few mph at least under 100mph. lol
