Sleds trip to the drag strip

hey guys...here's my first trip to the strip with the bike.  1/8th mile track.  the run off was pitch black so I was a bit spooked. Top speed was 111.39 @7.072 with my 60 ft @ 1.838.  Better luck next time, but I'm not gonna complain too much.  Couple shots for ya and a couple vidoes the wife took.  Check out the announcer talking about the bike.  Guess it was the first Busa he's ever seen from his comments.

OH...BTW......when we got there I was told no Whellie bar for my class so I had to take it off. Oh well.

Sounds like ya had a good time, I need me a set of leathers like that for 100 bucks. Anyway, I wanna run mine down the strip when I get it and get used to it.

Let see if I can post a movie here. I left a bit hard and the front end came up pretty good. You can see me shut it down tryin to get the front end down. The video doesn't show it but I waxed the guy by the end of the 8th.

cool! movie worked! I had a buy in this last video. Actually I lined up next to a 600 and the guy shook his head and said forget it!!! LOL! SO it was a free run for me, just dont red light!!!!!! Here's where the announcer dude was a little shocked at the top speed.

thx JC....yeah...we had a ball. My best friend who rides a ZX-12 just bought a GSXR 750 for a little getting outta spin dry present to himself. His 750 was the 3rd fastest bike there. Little sucker ran a 108!!!! Bike had less than 75 miles on it when we go to to the track. Here's a crappy shot of him lining up giving me the wave before his race. I guess it help that he races semi pro just a tad. He was top speed of the night with his ZX-12 running 112.49...fastest speed of the night

Glad to see more people taking there bikes to the track. You need to lower it and strap the front now. You won't believe the difference. Throw those wheelie bars away!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sled...Sounds like you had a great time and that is good...I enjoy going to the track also but I have gotten rust and had problems with the bike...The bike is now straight but I'm still rusty...Sounds like your gonna be addicted...Now where did you get those leathers again???

hehehehe.......stun!!! Got them from a best buddy who has more leathers than brains! I think he has a leather "thing". He has around 10 -15 suits He gave them to me for free but I felt like I had to give him something.....thus the $100.00. We were out a few weeks ago and a neighbor friend of mine went out with us and he didn't have leathers. My buddy gave him an AGV suit that was kagaroo leather for free............he hates seeing people crash without protection. Awesome friend!! He has the same Busa as me, plus a turbo. He couldn't fit into the leathers anymore so they were mine. Cool huh?
