Hello all, I was wondering if anybody could tell me if it is possible to put SLIP ON'S on my bike without modifing anything else. Thanks

yeah...no matter what you get i am pretty sure it comes with all the mounting brakets that you need for stock location...

Have the fuel injection remapped or a power commander installed. New air cleaner that allows more airflow, too.

If you are replacing the stock cans with slip-ons, you will have to do the pair valve modification or the marble mod. If you don't when you are decelerating you bike will back fire and shoot flames out the pipes.

Can you post a link of the Pair valve mod and the marble mod?

Which one is easier? and is the power commander a must? even with out and air intake and just slip ons?

The marble mod is the easiest. Just take off your seat, raise the gas tank and brace it up. Ok here is how you can find the proper hose to plug up. If you are on your bike, looking toward the handlebars, on the right hand side of the bike, close to the fulcrum of the tank you will see a hose on the underside of the airbox. Just pull it off, and plug it with the marble, then place it back on the airbox.

So you just take an actual marble and plug it up? Where does that tube go? is there any chance of it getting sucked up through that hose?

Newbie question I guess, but what is the marble blocking? Long term effects?
The pair valve recirculates unburnt fuel from the engine into the exhaust. where it detenates causing the popping and flames.

Downside is you can't play marbles for a while...

A combination of recirculated exhaust gas and fresh air. BS attempt at satisfying the eco nazi's.
Be sure to put a zip tie below the marble to keep it from being sucked into the manifold. The results are nothing short of amazing for smoothing out the throttle response.

Thats what my wife keeps tellin me. Thanks for the info

I have RS-3's with no PC/marble/blockoffs and run fine. No back firing. Mydealer told me I was losing power because of them and needed a PC with new map. I think it's a sales pitch. Maybe someday before I go full system I'll get one, but not now.

Yoshie says you can improve the performance with their PC but it's not nessary for just a can change

I put R-22 yoshi's on mine and no backfires. My buddy has Yoshi full exhaust and I have never seeen it backfire. I am not going to do the mod until I hear it or someone sees it.

Mine wasn't shooting flames or anything but did have some minor backfiring. Did the marble mod today and she definately runs alot better, sounds alot better
