What are the advantages/disadvantages and weight differences between SS and Carbon Fiber? Thanx

I don't know if there will be a big difference weight wise. Check the Yosh site and see if it spells it out. I think the bigger question is what you think will look good on your bike. My guess is probably the SS would be a nice choice.

Carbon fiber is lighter than titanium which is lighter than SS.
Carbon fiber is more expensive than Titanium which is more expensive than SS.
Carbon fiber looks good on dark bikes. My opinion.
Titanium looks good on grey colored bikes. My opinion.
Of course you can always polish carbon fiber and titanium to make them shinny.
SS is good if you like it to be bright, bling bling.

Get something that flows with the bike...Slip ons want get you much in the weight loss category either might want to think about a full system...

Busahaya and I weighed the full stock exhaust 33lbs.
The yoshi full system ss pipes and headers with titanium muffler weighed 15.5lbs. Savings of 17.5lbs.

Full systems will save a lot of weight.
Bolt-ons and slip-ons save a little.

The main difference is the look. Sound will be the same, because they use the same internal design. As far as weight and performance, you won't be able to tell the difference.

The carbon fiber looks better... my opinion

The sound and the preformance would be the same....! The weight is definetly lighter. I noticed a big improvement with the handling of Elenor once I fit the Carbon fiber bolt-ons. I'm not sure about the exact weight thats reduced!

I went w/the carbon fiber slip ons w/my Blue & Silver '01. I added those w/Jet-Hot ceramic coated headers, and it all looks and sounds pretty nice.

Yeah but the there is the added expense of a power commander(about $300) and about $200-300 for programming right?

You do have that added cost with a full system, but it depends on what you want to get out of the bike.

That is so true.
