Slipon loudness?

If I change my exhaust, I will just go with slipons. I don't care about getting more power. Rate the volume from loudest to quietest. Which ones have the deepest tone? Thanks

Gotta tell ya, I love the sound of my Akropovic slip ons... Nice deep rumble down low, opening up to a solid roar. Heck if the Service guy at The dealership said they sound really really nice...

D&D's are prolly your loudest I think... But I am happy with the Akros... They are perfect in my book...

pull your stock cans and go for a ride all the slip-ons are queiter than that (trust me the cans off is not loud)
so you will know that no matter which can you waste your money on it will not be louder than that.

4/1 is not all about ponies it is about weight and handling

I know I keep talkin about Scorpions, but that's only because I love the way they sound.

D&Ds are probably louder, but you have to admit....these sound pretty sweet.

Just go to Suzuki and click on the speaker next to Hayabusa.

Hey Rev...how do these sound?

Had yosh "race" cans on the '01 and have Micron slips on the '03.....very similar sounds between these two. Did try a set of yosh zyclones on the '01 and thought they were way too quite.

I have the D & D's and love the sound. Lets people know I'm coming, or in most cases know I went by. Not obnoxious, but a deep growl.

Got D&D? I've heard micron, yosh, muzzy and D&D personally on the
the Busa and in the order of loudness they rate as,.
1-D&D
2-Muzzy
3-Yosh/Micron

I love the growl of my D&Ds in low rpm and the bass like scream
at the top end. Never heard the Akros or Hindle but they come
highly recommended by some of the more experienced Busa riders.
I was like you when I first purchased my Busa..
lookin for sound...performance unimportant. You should have seen
the smile on my face when I first heard those puppies roar after
listening to stock cans for ~3 months. Good luck and happy shopping.

I'm in the same position as you are...I don't want any more power I just want sound and I'm about to get the D & D slip-ons. I can't wait, but for now I'll just have to be patient.

Looks like those cans on Ebay will need a considerable touch up. Also, one thing that puzzles me, there is no pic of the LEFT CAN. Possibly been laid down. I'd email the guy and ask questions. Ask for more detailed digital pictures.

I bought a set of Staintunes for $399.00, Should be here Monday. They were on clearance at CBT Imports

D&D are probably the loudest but i love my microns!
Well Dez, I guess I'm going to be immortal like you. First. I agree with all others that the D&D is probably the loudest, but I've heard a Two Brothers on a Busa and it is a very close second. Second. I just purchased the new Micron 4-to-1 full exhaust with the serpent header. Sound is sweet and is supposed to perform really well on the Busa. My riding buddy has it on his '03 Gixxer 1000 and the sound is superb. I personally love the 4 into 2 look, but now that I'm going to the track, I need some more hp and weight reduction. Never thought I would do this, but it's a necessity now. BTW, I will be offering a set of Yoshimura RS3 stainless slip-ons with less than 500 miles on them for $400 in about another week. These pipes are brand new with two little dents on the underside of the right can. I super-polished the cans and they almost look chrome. I have a board member who is interested right now because he was the first to email me. If anything, I am fair. Since he was the first, he gets first dibs at them. If the deal falls through, then I'll post in the classifieds. To make the deal that much sweeter, I am willing to pay the shipping.
