Smoked my first ZX12 Friday night.

Went to the brand new 1/4 mile track in Adell GA. Friday night. On my second run a nice and shiny, stretched, silver ZX 12 lined up with me. Not nervous by any means until he tree'd the crap out of me. His RT was a .017 to my .098. I thought for sure he had me but, I came by him on the big end like he was in park. He went 10.223 @ 140.41 and I went 9.891@ 146.53. Whew! That was closer than I'd like for it to be. Only myself and a freind of mine ran nines at all that night. He was on a Busa too, of course. I was only a few 10ths faster. Thanks to the six inches on the swingarm. He was on a stock length bike. Ride'n fool he is. Talk to ya'll later.

Congrats 1313r, how much racing experience do you have?

First time at the 1/4 mile. I've been to 1/8 mile tracks off and on. Probably all together eight or nine times to the track to run my bike. I plan on trying to get serious about it if my wife and finances allow it.

That is an impressive trap speed (as is the ET).  What all mods do you have?  Also, do you have any idea what kind of elevation the track is at?

Congradulations. The drag strip can be very addictive. Not long from now and you'll be cruising the drag bike sites looking for "go fast" goodies. Hmmmm air shifter, power adder, wheelie bars, an extra wheel with a slick and on and on.....

yeah I made my first trip there this weekend with my bike... ran there with my car alot... I was addicted running my car and now with my bike its MORE addicting!!
