It sounds like oil got past the rings . I was not there but if conditions were right , alot of oil could have gotten into one or more of the combustion chambers and down into one or more of the header down tubes .
It would almost have to have gotten upside down but the breather tower tube would have been a good route to let oil run into the airbox . Prop the tank up and check .
If the crankcase is up to proper level , oil light is not on , no engine noises , i would suggest taking it for a ride so to let it heat up and clear the system out . You decide on that one though because on me not getting into a liable situ .
Or , let a dealer fire it up and ride it long enough to clear the exhaust is another thought at X dollars per hour .
