smoking some

My '03 SE has about 2000 mls on it and under full load in 1st there are wisps of smoke coming out the exhausts and sometimes when starting too !
The bike has straight thru mid pipes and Scorpion end cans but has not been remapped or anything - any ideas why or is it bad news !!

What color smoke? White burning oil, black excess fuel...

Could the exhaust setup be causing a too rich scenario ?

From what I've read on this site, you generally need to remap after doing any exhaust/air intake type of mods. It will mess up your air/fuel mixture if you don't. Good luck...
