Wow... Portland is not used to this weather. :poke: Idiots are crashing all over.

This is the view from my front window and front door. Please bear in mind that a normal "snow storm" here is about 1-2". The pic I am in I am up to just below mid calf in snow.

BRRRR. That's just wrong...

...and I don't even think it's a full :moon: tonight.

Needless to say the busa is parked... I did think about it though

We are expected to get between 6 and 10 inches here. I have never seen that much here. It's just dumping on us.

Idiots are crashing all over.

Always amazed me how with the first snow every year, so many people have to re-learn how to drive in it.
Was the same thing even when I lived in north Illinois where there was 3 feet of snow on the ground for 5 months of the year.
Every year the ditches were full of unfortunates after the first good dump.

And it's worse here because it only snows every few years

So, here are some more pictures from earlier, when it wasn't AS bad. The East Wind was still kicking our butts, but the snow wasn't as high. Christine had wanted to play in the snow SO very bad since last night, so we decided to try it for a few minutes. The one is of the three of us bundled up and right by our front door. The other two are of Christine and Jefferycarman playing in the snow. (The one where he is making a snow angle, Christine was upset. She thought he was hurt and kept asking him if he was, "otay?" It was so cute!)

Yeah! And it's actually genuinely no joke cold up here which is rare also...

Right now it's 20 degrees out, snowing, windy, and 70% humidity...

BUT

It at least feels like Christmas.

It's dumping in Seattle tonight. We are expecting up to 90MPH wind tonight around Puget Sound. I took the Titan out today to play in it.

Yeah, no joke, I forgot about how cold it is. It was 20 when I went over to the neighbors house to give them a christmas card  They now know we are nuts

@ Rev - Sarah says she has the Mrs' email in her inbox and will respond soon. I will continue to beat her until she does :poke:

And @ Scar :moon:

P.S. :moon::moon::moon::moon::moon::moon:

90MPH Winds? ? ? ? Holy Cronkites!!
That's what we are saying here.

Our winds are doing the 50-65 range. 90 is a brutal wind. Stay tucked in Tru.

Our snow now appears to be around 6-7 inches in the yard. And my tracks from an hour ago are entirely gone.

The snow is so pretty!! Now that we live in Texas, if it even threatens snow schools will shoot down and schools will close. We used to live in KC and kind of miss the snow, and well spring and fall too.???

Well the winds didn't quite make it to 90. Thankfully they never topped 70. That was enough to knock out power to many houses (mine stayed on). We got about 5" of new snow on top of the 3" that was already there. It also rained last night before it turned to snow. There is ice on snow on ice on the roads. A perfect combination to get stuck.

Time to take the DR650 out in it.
