I just left wal-mart and was going down the road and stopped at the red light. Then the light turned green i rolled my wrist and hit 65mph learned back and up she goes..

I was happy cause for the longest i have been trying to get my bike up and havent been able at all but i think it was cause i had on a full backpack which gave me extra weight on the rear

BTW
I have 2 questions!

1. How many teeth are on a stock Hayabusas' sprockets? (Front & Back)

2. On a Stock Hayabusa, how much is the SpeedO off?

17/40 7 - 7.5 % on average

for me 7.5% =

7.5 % error mean that if your speedo is telling you 100 mph you are really only doing 92.5 mph.

the best way to get her up is just find a vacated lot/spot and get her up to 7k and then let off a little.... and then WHACK IT!!! The nose will come up for sure!!! *if done right...

but..............

getting 'her' up is not needed! she wants to go fast with both feet/tires on the ground/pavement............

good advice there bro,,,,keep her on the ground and under control

just my opinion, but wheelies are only good for showing off. and showing off usually ends up bad. would hate to see you wreck your ride or yourself for some thing that dumb. Keep em on the ground bro, you be happier/ safer.

True about the wheelies - for showing off, for the most part. though sometimes I do one when im off by myself just because it's kinda fun.

The extra weight of your backpack should make it EASIER to get the fromt wheel up though....

Your front is lowered 1in.that makes it harder to come up.But you can get into the throttle harder down low in 1st.

yea my dad and i were talkin about that. but i like it like that since it keeps it down on the ground and i love the way it rides like that

7.5 % error mean that if your speedo is telling you 100 mph you are really only doing 92.5 mph.
That's 8.1% off. You need to go from the actual speed to gauge the % error.

So if you're actual speed is 100, with 7.5% error (high) the speedo will indicate 107.5

Just divide indicated by 1.075 and you'll get actual speed for a 7.5% error.

(V8Pinto @ Jul. 06 2007,00:09) Is the tachometer reading also subject to this error?

Trying to figure something out....
Not to my knowledge. My tach is pretty accurate - it's almost dead-on with my PCIII.

Dang... When I ran 180.7 my tach said 10,500rpms. Using a gearing calculator, at 180, my rpms should have been around 9700 (give or take).

195 indicated (which is actually what the speedo said) is about 10,500 in my gearing calculator. If I back out the 7.5% speedo error, that puts me at 181.4mph or roughly .7mph of wheelspin.

I'm running in the dirt and everybody adds ballast to the Busa's because of wheelspin. I was expecting a lot more wheelspin than 3%.

hmmmm

i would have no idea ha i was just going by what people say but i dont know how to figure that stuff so i am confused
