I went ahead and took the plunge.. Just happen to be browsing the CraigsList ads and I saw a listing in Philly for a 2003 Copper Busa with 1000 original miles and bone stock. Naturally I thought it was a scam because of the shady looking ad. Pictures were faded and nothing was spelled correctly. I figured I'd have nothing to lose jsut to call him and it seemed legit. Long story short, took a ride to Philly and the bike was exactly as advertised. I could tell it has been sitting because the tires were low and I saw some cob webs on them. I put a couple hundred miles on it, changed the oil and it looks and feels great! Everything is pristine on the bike, just need a right side fairing as he dropped it while going a few MPH. He is the original owner as the title showed, he just never had the time to ride it.
Oh yeah I got it for $5000
PS - This is my second BUSA and I never even sat on a motorcycle or dirt bike until I got my first one. Its been a while so I forgot what first mods I should do. I do feel guilty about touching this stock beauty, but I am thinking turbo. ???lease:
