according to the Treasury Dept, stimulus disbursements doubled the budget imbalance for the month of May, compared to 07:

Stimulus package effects on economy

BTW-still haven't received my check, but I've already decided it'll go towards some new parts anyhow. I'll try and stimulate the motorcycle aftermarket.

Hey, brother! Nice seeing your 'face' on the board. I haven't watched the vid you sent by PM. I guess I should 'get on that'.

You available to ride this weekend?

Absolutely ridiculous that our government can't spend what it makes. This isn't a hard concept, don't spend money you don't have....

I haven't gotten my check either, but I doubt I'll get one and if I do it'll only be $25 or something.

Is that gross, AGI, net, etc....

They don't take into account how much my mortgage is for my 1950s, 2 wire system, steel plumbing, 1262 sq ft, old house cost me.  It may seem like I make a lot, but when you take out my $3000 mortgage for my crappy house in LA, its not that much anymore.

I believe that it is based on gross income. I did my taxes with "Turbo Tax" and it came back with the figure.

I know it's $600.; but it sure doesn't go far anymore.

I got mine and after a new set of tires, an oil change, and a weekend of riding...well...gone, gone, gone.

Easy come, easy go.

Got ours several weeks ago. Went right into savings and we haven't seen it since.
