So what do you do on New Years day?

My tradition for many years was to get my Surfing Posse together and head to the west side of Hawaii for a couple days.

Tent camping on the beach, surf all day dance around the fire all night ...

My buddy called last night from the beach ... I hate him right now.

Not much. Temp has struggled up to a balmy 26 degrees.
Lay around, drink some Tequila sunrises, play on the computer, watch TV, eat, dream of warmer weather.. bout it.

My wife has a thing about starting the new year off with a clean house ( I think it is a Chinese thing ... ) So she wants me outa the house. Thru the pup in the truck and headed for the hills. It wasnt cold enough to really give more of the white stuff but we found some in the Sierra's.

Had a great burger in Chester and stopped by Mt Lassen National Park. Wish I coulda been on the bike.

160 mile rt, The ol Chevy Silverado keeps on truckin. It was a good day but I do miss my ol traditional ( see above ) Surf on NYD.

Been sick all day, something hit me hard at about 11:00 last night, ya Happy New Year. I did manage to get over to Cycle Gear, picked up a Bridgestone BT-016 for the rear for $123. Never tried this tire but it should be ok to burn off the rest of the stock front tire (BT-015 I believe).

I went to Mill Creek Park and gave a big send off to the bicycle club for their annual New Years day ride. Too much blizzard conditions I just went to coffee shop afterwards. Wandered over to Harbor Freight to pick up a scissor jack that was on sale and used the 20% coupon I had stashed. Across from Harbor Freight is JC Penney I picked up a collectors AVATAR shirt to frame. Then I surfed all day on the net. Had my youngest son, his wife and our 5 month old grand daughter come over for dinner and brighten up the day...then I watched the Ohio State game (where's that Oregon fan now???) got half way through and had to take the Missus to my neighbors funeral. I've known Louie since 1973..passed away at home right after Christmas while typing on his computer.. came back in time to watch the Bucks finish a beating on the Ducks (hey where's that Oregon fan now??) I am finishing out my wonderful New Years Day by hanging out on the .ORG!

Went and seen Avatar in 3d ..this time. Liked it better in the 3d version....awesome movie.
