so what is the grand secret for posting pics

I always thought of myself as somewhat efficient around a computer and being a photo gun/bike pic junkie have posted many pics on various sites.

We used to be able to post using photobucket (then we couldn't), then we had the integrated forum gallery on which we upload (now it's gone), so I go back to photobucket using jpeg and it tells me that format extention etc to use gif...I look at other peoples pics and they are using photbucket jpeg

Did you try to paste the link directly in the post instead of using the "Image" tab?

When using photobucket, use the HTML selection (3rd one down)
Then just paste it in your post.
