Gen 1 fork.. I got the Allen broke loose but I can't spin it out its only spinning the cartridge inside the tube.. I can't tighten it back up either...what do I do? I'd like to take it out...

If you are trying to take out front axle tighten the allens on the right side ( facing front of bike ) loosen left allens then remove left side..hope this is what you are asking

Tilt the dampening rod to the side as you loosen it. The bolt has lock tight on it so that extra little bit of pressure will help. It also helps if you use an impact (I used a cordless impact and mine came right off).

can you use an impact tool....something faster than a regular 3/8th hand drive...it should spin out lefty loosey...it has a bit of sealer on it....if it is the axel like the others suggest...smash the pinch bolts a bit...then turn out the axel. Also if you still have the forks in the triple tree it helps to break free the top nuts...vs putting the fork leg in a vice to loosen it.

Yep, if you don't have one it is time to invest in an impact tool. Will spin that thing right out.

Got it taken care of. Used an impact but it would just spin and not impact so I put the extension in a bind kinda and it came out
