I just got off the phone with the Chief mechanic at the shop my bike is at.

He claims that he just spoke with a Suzuki rep today. Apparently they are sending him a completly different cam chain adjuster to replace my broken one. They wouldn't come straight out and say it, but he believes that they are ready to do another recall.

Im not sure if its true, but he says my bike will be one of the first in America with this new tensioner, they just released it from backorder and its on its way from Suzuki America, in California.

Who knows, but I kinda feel like a guinnea pig.
Sorry Suzuki, you can test your tensioner on someone else, the manual one goes on as soon as I get it.

SCREW THAT LOFTY!!! DONT LET EM GUINEA PIG YOU, BRO. SUCKZUKI SUX on this issue.

Hey Lofty, glad to hear it.... maybe keep the old one and compare it too the new one... Or have motorhead look at it...

I understand what you are going through with
your Busa,no one want to deal with this kind
of s**t! How many miles were on her!

Ask your MC tech if you can look at the new one before they put it in and see if you can get a part number or painted color code and post the information on this site so that we can compair if they did make a updated or newer cam chain tensioner. With a few real Suzuki reps/techs on this board they can tell us , yes that is a new part or not.

IF it happens, it will be interesting to see what provisions Suzuki affords for reimbursement for other related stuff that came out of tensioner failure.
