Sure makes you feel old to think about Shuttle system ending after 30 yrs. Just happen to come into office and flick on the tv and caught the final space shuttle Atlantis landing live, and remember watching the first take off back in middle school .
What really makes me think, is that we're basicly using 40 and 50 year old Tech to send someone up into Space. Really, in the last 30 years of the program, surly someone could design a better way to go up and return other than strapping your buckus to a small Nuclear Explosion and lighting it up
Even Branson at Virgin Air has a flying example that's about to go into space and he didn't spend TRILLIONS on OLD Tech. Wonder where we would be if NASA had developed this 20 years (that's 1990's) ago ?
