Im hoping this is the right section for this, but im curious on something. We have a 06 le busa. The speedometer on it only goes up to 180 and im wondering if they make the speedo's that still go up to 220 and if they do what would you have to do to switch the speedo's and make the new one accurate.

You may also need a speedohealer for the accuracy part (www.speedohealer.com).
If you put the 220 face on the 185 speedo and use a speedohealer to fix the speedometer, your odometer will rack up miles 13% faster.  For every 1000 miles, your odo will show 1130.

Read about it here.
Very good info Dennis....first time i have ever heard of this....someone should probably put this info on a sticky for all to see??

I am confused for some reason. Lets say that you put the 220 speedo on and set the MPH correctly with the speedo healer. OK so when you are going 80 mph on the 220 guage the needle still thinks it is the 185 scale so the needle is really pointing to the 70mph that used to be there. So your speedo reads 80 instead of 70 but the bike really thinks it is 70?? SO the odometer thinks it is 70. I'm not getting it. I keep thinking that the odometer will read low.

The bike is already reading faster speeds than real speed. Which means your loosing mileage from the beginning. If you correct it you get more accurate speed and mileage? I dont get why you have to add a percentage to correct the speedo error rather than subtract. I guess I am slow. Anyone know the math behind this? I hope I'm not being too stupid about this. Maybe I am just thinking too hard or it is too late.
