Im thinking about putting a vortex 43T on the rear of my stock geared 03. Can someone please tell me how this effects my rpm because i do alot of highway and long riding so i dont want to be going 120km/h at 7000rpm lol. im just looking for some more all around torquey fun. If i do this do i need a speedohealer? and where can i get one??:beerchug::thumbsup:

well the healer get it from any of our sponsors.

will you need one if you want to know exactly how fast your going yes.

i have a 43T and my RPMS did go up a bit on the highway, cant tell you if its 7k at 120mph but may be very close to that.

You put a 43 out back, and you will never go back to stock 40! What are you waiting for? Do it. I love my 43. And IMO, better than dropping down up front. You can still use stock chain too.

The 43T is nice, i put one on mine and at 65 MPH it runs just a bit over 4000 RPM, which isnt bad. I have a speedohealer as well, and the v4's are nice units.

thats about where mine is too, makes a nice difference. got the v4 also...i think it`s set around -14% or so.

The 43t rear sprocket mod is the one mod I wish I'd done sooner. It is kick azz!

I have the speedohealer on mine... had it set at -7.5% when it was stock, now it is at -14% and it's just about perfect.

As far as rev's go...you know that buz you get at about 85 mph or so?

It moves down to 75 mph.

You won't notice the increased rpm's at all. She'll still go just as fast as you want 'er to. It'll just get there quicker.

great thanks alot guys. some may and will giggle but.... im just looking for a liitle more kick so even if i go with a 41t or 42t sprocket will i notice a slight difference and can i still use the stock 530 120 link chain? thanks so much . how do i get in touch with the sponsors about getting a speedohealer? thanks again:beerchug:

And btw, nice thing about a Speedohealer is they are super-easy to install. Just locate this plug on the left side of your bike and plug it in.

Just plug in the Speeohealer, calibrate it once you figure out how far off you are and done.
